What do you love most about the job?
The best part of my job with Engineius is the freedom to work to my schedule. It allows me to perform to the best of my ability, and by planning my routes accordingly, I avoid wasting time.
How do you ensure you deliver vehicles on time?
I always plan extra time to meet customers' ETAs when using Google Maps. It allows me to account for traffic, refuelling and a coffee break. Thanks to Jesus, I complete my deliveries promptly, with some route knowledge helping that too.
What has been your best experience with Engineius so far?
I think that would be the fact that there are never any errors on my pay slip, and often, there are good surprises such as bonuses and extras!
How many miles do you do on average a week?
On average, roughly 1000 miles.
What do you think are the secrets behind getting to where you’ve got to?
No secrets, just a bit of extra work. I carefully simulate my route multiple times on Google Maps and other similar apps, whilst paying attention to bus and train timetables so that if I miss them, I know what time the next one will be.
What drives you to succeed in this job?
Petrol and diesel… sometimes electric too 😉
Do you reconcile your jobs and expenses on a regular basis
Yes indeed, for every single job.
What are you most excited about this year?
Best improvement this year goes to the new Engineius app update. It greatly reduces time wasted during pick-ups and drop-offs.
What makes Engineius a special place to work?
The freedom to organise your workload, together with the help of the operations team. It greatly enhances the ease of work.
What is the best advice you can give other drivers?
Keep in touch with the Operations team where necessary, and spend some time calculating your routes and organising your schedule before booking a job. That way you minimise failure and expensive train expenses and will maximise income.
