It is inspiring to see women breaking barriers and excelling in careers that were once considered male-dominated.

At Engineius, a company that provides vehicle movement solutions, women are thriving as self-employed drivers, directors, support experts and more. These women are not just shining in their roles, but also changing the way people think about women in traditionally male-dominated fields.

Changing Stereotypes 💪

Driver with Engineius

Working for Engineius as a Self-Employed driver fits in perfectly with my busy life, being able to manage my diary on a weekly basis was one of the things that first attracted me to the role - along with my love for driving and cars.

I’ve had some wonderful experiences during my time with Engineius, I’ve been chased along the street whilst driving a Royal Mail van by a poor lady who thought she’d missed the last post. I had to be rescued by Emergency Breakdown, I was lucky enough to be next to the fire station so you can imagine my surprise when 8 firemen rushed out and offered to push me to safety – that was a good day!

There will be days when you will be met with comments like “don’t crash it love”, “oh you’re a woman” and my favourite “can you drive that?” I always have a sassy answer and my go-to is “watch and learn” obviously paired with a big smile!

The best advice I can give to other women considering a career as a driver is to go for it! Don’t feel that it’s a job “for men.”

They mean Business 😎

Sharon Smith and Pardeep Sanghera, Support Experts, pulled out all the stops to ensure our employees and drivers received their Costa vouchers for Blue Monday!

The Onboarding and Development Team, consisting of Gemma Jones, Titilope Osiyemi, and Karolina Kotkowska has been consistently smashing onboarding targets. Together, they tripled their induction figures, and processed four times the number of applications, as applications poured in in January.

I like working for Engineius as you get to see so much on your travels, and you get so much exercise whilst working. I am currently training for the three peaks, so any walking helps a lot. I certainly do feel good whilst working, and I cannot wait for the summer - great weather and great cars 🤩

One trip I had was a very long journey from Derby to Horsham. This trip had so many parts that could’ve potentially gone wrong, which is why it was very rewarding as it all worked out!

If you love driving and want to travel, it is definitely worth considering becoming a driver.

It’s the ability to create your own schedule, and although I’m not one myself, it honestly can be great for single mums as it’s a job that allows flexibility. It’s a great experience and you get to see parts of England whilst driving.

Having good communication with customers which builds trust, as they’re so grateful and polite. They appreciate everything we do, which makes a lot of my moves feel so rewarding.

I’d say just go for it! You can always learn something new from experiences, good or bad.

Women who WOW 🤩

At Engineius, we have a channel which enables people to praise their colleagues and share positive feedback. There has been endless praise flooding in all year for our wonderful female employees, we provide just a couple of examples below:

Maria Haydari, Movement Expert, received positive feedback from our drivers for being so helpful and considerate when they are out on the road.

Berenika Frankowicz, our QA Analyst, was praised for efficiently getting our new joiners set up so that their first day runs smoothly.

To round off, we’d like to say… GO LADIES YOU’RE SMASHING IT!!!.
