What do you love most about the job?

The freedom to plan my week and be in control of all aspects of the job. It works brilliantly for me.

Also, I actually love driving, so being on the road is a great way to spend the week 😄

How do you ensure you deliver vehicles on time?

I start as early as possible and plan routes in advance using Google Maps and apps to move around most cost-effectively.

I also contact each customer in advance, ensuring the vehicle is ready for collection and the end user before drop off so they are fully prepared for the handover.

I also update Operations of any delays or issues whilst utilising the Engineius app correctly and updating each task as I go along.

What has been your best experience with Engineius so far?

There are many great experiences, but recently I have driven quite a few Teslas, and I think they are wonderful vehicles.

Travelling to some beautiful locations is always great too, especially when the sun is out ☀️

How many miles do you do on average a week?

Probably 1000 miles and sometimes up to 1400, depending on the volume of movements that week.

What do you think are the secrets behind getting to where you’ve got to?

Having a positive mindset is always important. But to name a few more:

Never assume each vehicle is always ready for collection, so maintaining communication with customers is vital.
Check the portal regularly to fill gaps in your plan.
Maintaining a good working relationship with the team at Engineius.
If you are keeping a vehicle overnight, make sure it's safe and secure.
Communicating with Operations about any issues that might occur.

What drives you to succeed in this job?

The new customers coming through are great. It gives me more flexibility and options.

Making sure the end users are always satisfied with the vehicle's condition and shown how to use the controls if they are unfamiliar with the vehicle's make and model gives me satisfaction.

Do you reconcile your jobs and expenses on a regular basis?

Yes, and if something isn't right, I contact accounts directly.

What are you most excited about this year?

The summer months will be great. I am looking forward to visiting more beautiful locations!

I plan to complete more movements in Scotland and Northern Ireland, as I have seen those moves on the portal from time to time.

I am also travelling to the US later this year, so that should be great as well 🇺🇸

What makes Engineius a special place to work?

The Operations team are excellent at resolving issues quickly and effectively.

The updated Engineius app is great and works really well on my android smartphone and I'm always checking for any new updates.

What is the best advice you can give other drivers?

Planning your journeys in advance is essential as you will sometimes encounter problems, so ensure to communicate with Operations if you are running late.

Make sure to use the app correctly and complete each task within the specified window. Follow each action on the job especially when asked to valet vehicles on certain jobs.

Last but not least, always be positive and have enough energy for the day as you will have to drive for long periods sometimes!
