What do you do for Engineius?

I am a data scientist. It is my job to optimise the routing of our drivers, to maximise their earnings.

By leveraging advanced algorithms and data analysis, I try to ensure that each route is efficient by reducing travel time and operational costs while increasing profitability for our drivers.

What motivates you to do well in your role?

It can be challenging for our drivers to plan routes by hand. We would like to help them with this by automating it.

What playlist do you listen to in the car the most?

In the car, probably the album Presence by Led Zeppelin. 

What do you like most about working for Engineius?

The fact we're currently in our growth phase, there are lots of new challenge to solve, and the freedom to solve these challenges using your own judgement. 

What’s your favourite way to unwind after a busy day?

By cycling, swimming, or playing guitar.

What’s the most interesting thing you’ve read or seen this week?

There's a star in our universe that apparently contains very heavy elements in its upper layers. Possible explanations include convection currents caused by unusually strong magnetic fields which transport these elements from the star's core to its surface, or aliens dumping nuclear waste!

Describe one thing you've learnt in your role?

Don't trust Tom Hemming's food recommendations.

What’s the most useless talent you have?

Always being able to find something to worry about.
